A trip to the Airport!

I don't really like driving at night and I especially don't like driving in the rain at night. I hopped in the car, with Georgina gurgling in the back seat and promptly found a large huntsman on the inside of the glass right in front of the steering wheel. I tried to do the right thing and catch it but it got away. It ran into the air conditioning vent and I attempted to kill it but simply lopted its leg off. I said a little prayer for protection on the road and from the large spider hiding in my vent. There was no time to waste so into the pouring rain and onto the M5 to pick up A. Half way along the M5 the rain stopped and the road became dry. This was good. Several minutes later the spider came out with one missing leg and promptly decided to climb onto the car roof over my head. This wasn't good. I wasn't having that so I knocked him off somewhere on the ground near my legs and feet. Lucky I was wearing long pants and shoes. The M5 tunnel was a welcome relief. I looked for the spider as I sped through but could not see it anywhere. A minute later I was at our rendezvous point and spotted A carrying two bags. I quickly exited the drivers seat and calmly told him 5 minutes later that there was a large huntsman in the car. I caught up with all the news from Auckland and he was most pleased to have dinner with all the aunts and uncles, nephews and Nana the night before.
