Dean has a Holiday with Us!

Well my birthday came and went! I had a busy day at school and my girlfriend Cathy looked after Georgina. The highlight of my day was all the phone calls I received in the evening. Jennie called at 4pm, Mum, Dad and Chris called at 6pm, Lorna and Bruce called at 7pm and Nana called at 8pm. Cathy also bought me a mango for my birthday. It was most delicious and I ate it for lunch! Today was a busy day at home; washing, dishes, bills and shopping. Georgina went to bed at 6pm. She is skipping her afternoon nap now. I was spending too long trying to get her to sleep in the afternoon and then she was sleeping through til 6.30 or so. This meant she wasn't getting to bed til 8.30 or later. The result is a very tired little girl who goes to sleep in about 5 minutes. The down side is she is very tired and grumpy all afternoon. This is made worse by the fact that she is teething. She has taken to screaming ( in annoyance/pain/ tiredness) in a very high pitched squeal. This is not very pleasurable by the time 6 pm rolls around! Although a quiet evening is well worth a slightly grumpy and grizzly afternoon.

Ready for Sabbath School!

Georgina was given a pair of thick stockings and today was the first time she has worn them. She was all dressed up in her pink dress and new pink shoes all ready for Sabbath School.

A Curl!

I have finally spotted a curl in Georgina's hair. I should say it's more like a wave. Spot the curl!

Owwt!

This Georgina's first word. "Owwt!" She hears me say it when I'm talking to the cats. "Out!" Now when she sees a cat she says "Owwt!" We told Furgus he now has a new name and it happens to be "Owwt"!

Watching Playschool.

On Friday morning I watched playschool. I was abit tired so I didn't walk around and play like I usually do.

A trip to the Airport!

I don't really like driving at night and I especially don't like driving in the rain at night. I hopped in the car, with Georgina gurgling in the back seat and promptly found a large huntsman on the inside of the glass right in front of the steering wheel. I tried to do the right thing and catch it but it got away. It ran into the air conditioning vent and I attempted to kill it but simply lopted its leg off. I said a little prayer for protection on the road and from the large spider hiding in my vent. There was no time to waste so into the pouring rain and onto the M5 to pick up A. Half way along the M5 the rain stopped and the road became dry. This was good. Several minutes later the spider came out with one missing leg and promptly decided to climb onto the car roof over my head. This wasn't good. I wasn't having that so I knocked him off somewhere on the ground near my legs and feet. Lucky I was wearing long pants and shoes. The M5 tunnel was a welcome relief. I looked for the spider as I sped through but could not see it anywhere. A minute later I was at our rendezvous point and spotted A carrying two bags. I quickly exited the drivers seat and calmly told him 5 minutes later that there was a large huntsman in the car. I caught up with all the news from Auckland and he was most pleased to have dinner with all the aunts and uncles, nephews and Nana the night before.

Nan, Pop and Dean come to stay!

Nan, Pop and Dean came to stay. I had a fun evening smiling at Pop. He even threw the ball back for me. I am learning to throw at the moment. I'm afraid I've only learnt to let go of the ball , not throw it in the right direction. I do like catching the ball. I like chewing on the ball even more! Nan looked after me on Monday and Tuesday like she usually does. She is wonderful! This is a photo of Nan, Pop and Dean and I just before Nan and Pop left for the airport to go to New Zealand.

Shots for Georgina!

Today I got some shots! Three altogether. They gave me two in one arm and one in the other. I screamed and mum had trouble holding me still. The best part of the day was walking around talking to all the other babies while I was waiting for my shots. I was a good girl all day but wasn't quite feeling myself!

New Shoes!

I finally went out and bought Georgina some shoes now that she is starting to walk. She quite likes walking in them although tries to pull them off sometimes when we go shopping.

Behind the Lounge Chairs.

My new Juicer!

My girlfriend gave me about 100 navel oranges off her tree. So I've bought a juicer and I'm planning to make fresh orange juice everyday.

Walking in my socks!

Sunny Sunday!
