A busy day was had by all. Poppi took himself out for a jaunt in the city. I went to work and Nana stayed home with Georgina. Georgina is getting another tooth we think. She had a good scream last night when she woke with sore gums. She was quickly distracted by a book and given some panadol. We are waiting to see where her next tooth appears. Nana and Poppi catch the Indian Pacific to Perth tomorrow. They're looking forward to a couple of relaxing days on the train.
This is Georgina playing with her toys while Nana and Poppi cook dinner. We were very spoilt tonight. R is just posting his assignment. We are looking forward to a couple nights off before we launch into the next one.
Georgina is getting closer to walking. She scoots around the chairs on her two little pegs without a worry and is starting to take a step or two without holding on. She walks beside me while only holding one hand.
On Sabbath morning Andrew was amazed to see Georgina babbling away with the play phone up to her ear. She only got that phone for her birthday, a week ago. On Sabbath afternoon we played phones. We were phoning Nan!
My real firdt birthday was uneventful, not like the previous two days! Nana looked after me for two days. Mum and Dad have had late nights working on assignments.
Sunday was a busy day with preparation for the BBQ. Some of our neighbours came around for Georgina's birthday. We had a lovely afternoon chatting. Georgina played with everyone and helped herself to Thresea's ice-cream. Georgina received lots of lovely gifts. A sheeps wool vest that Thresea made and doll from Colleen, Jaime and Sarah and a small doll and telephone from Dianne, Jim, Nicholas and Lachlan. Andrew and I made Georgina's cake. This was our first attempt at icing a cake. City Grandma came round later with a cute little pair of checked overalls. Lorna and Bruce arrived an hour or so later and we all ate leftovers for tea. A good day was had by all!
We had a wonderful party on Sabbath with some of Mum and Dad's friends coming over for lunch. Mum made a wonderful cake with a photo of Georgina in the middle. Georgina did her best to get her fingers into the cake!
