Granddad in Hospital!

Granddad has been in hospital having some cancer removed and a half a lung in the process. He has made a good recovery despite possibly complications!

Almost Right!

GG is learning all sorts of new words at the moment. For the last couple of weeks she has said bee. The other day she was busy watching something on the floor whilst saying bee... bee.. When I had a closer look, it was a daddy long legs, limping along with a missing leg. Not a bee.. but almost right!

The new word that only started yesterday was shampoo. She learnt it just as we were getting in the bath. All through the bath she called the soap shampoo and the shampoo, shampoo! She was most entertained by the soap during this particular bath because it was the first time I let her hold it. Previously, she would have just put the soap straight in her mouth. Instead, she had fun slipping it through her fingers and losing it in the water!

A New Way to Play!

As most of you would know, the park is GG's favourite place for a play. The only thing is that all the equipment is getting rather familiar. To stop park bordem setting in, GG invented a new game and so did I. Her game was to walk along the park bench, in the park, and jump off the end. My new game was climb up the slide and go down the steps. We played this game with gusto, for about 20 min. today. Confidence was so high by the end of this game, that GG decided to brush the bark off her shoe half way up the slide, hanging on to one of mum's hands. She also got quite proficient at going down the three steps backwards and then turning around and jumping off the last step ( which is pretty well non existent) but still a step all the same! So there you go.... fun in the park!

Dad was about to go out to his bikers bible study group and GG was enthralled with his leather jacket and was dragging it around the floor. GG got to try on the jacket just for a second.

Georgina and I are having to rug up for our morning walks, some days, due to the colder mornings. Mind you, the next morning I was back walking in t-shirt and shorts! So much for the cold weather!

Mrs Heartbreak

Yes... Little D from a kindergaten class knows me as Mrs Heartbreak! Last week I tried to teach him how to say my name... Mrs Mowwww Bray....! Well the lesson wasn't learnt and I was Mrs Heartbreak again today ( much to my amusement)!
