Visitors for Sabbath Lunch!

We had some visitors for Sabbath Lunch. Michael from Parra Church and Rebecca. Rebecca had not met Georgina yet and so finally got to see her at 10 months old. Rebecca gave Georgina a lovely colourful big book. Mind you, she really enjoyed rattling the wrapping paper, as you can see!

Georgina in her Grobag!

I have to thank my Uncle Arthur and Auntie Margaret for the grobag they bought for Georgina. I haven't taken any photos of her in it, so on Friday morning after her sleep I decided to get a few shots. Her favourite thing to do, when she is stuck in her cot, is to turn on her musical mobile and to try and grab the animals. To makes things a bit trickier the mobile hangs on the outside of her cot because it not one that is made for grabbing. In the past we would know she was awake in the morning when we heard the vibrant sounds of Mozart coming from Georgina's room. Unfortunately this has now been transfered to any time she wakes up! A few nights ago we were greeted to the ringing tones of Mozart at about 2am in the morning!

The other night, Georgina was doing everything her in power to stayed awake. As she was dosing off to sleep she would shake her head vigorously to her herself awake. After sitting with her for quite awhile, I thought I might just pop her into her bed and see if she would snuggle down in her bed (as she was almost asleep). As usual, (when she is not quite asleep) she was straight onto her feet, standing by the mobile, turning on and off the music and making happy sounds. Well I thought, I'll just leave her, after all she's not crying! So I sat outside her room waiting to see what she would do. Unfortunately, it was exactly what I hopped would not happen! She fell asleep standing up and promptly fell over backwards and hit her head on the side of the cot. (Not too injured, but enough to wake her up again!) An hour and a half after I started putting her to bed she was finally asleep and so was I ... almost!

Tax Time!

No one looks forward to tax time! All that paper sorting and adding up receipts. As it goes, our friendly accountant lives in Brighton actually San Souci. As soon as we've finished, we head off for lunch in a little cafe over looking the water! It was a perfect day for it today, with the sun shining brightly. Georgina had a highchair and enjoyed smiling at another little girl who wasn't sitting too far away and Andrew and I had a delicious lunch!

Georgina can clap!

In the last two weeks Georgina has learnt to clap. She claps almost on cue and was joining in with play school this morning as they were clapping. While I was feeding her pieces of manderin this morning I noticed she was chewing! Previously she has chocked on anything lumpy I've put in her mouth. The sweet manderins were obviously worth chewing! It's lovely to have Grandad staying with us for awhile. Georgina has sucked him in too, with her winning smile and sparkly eyes!

Nana's Birthday!

We all went out to dinner for Nana's birthday! I was very organised and took my camera for some restaurant photos, unfortunately when I went to turn on my camera the batteries had died! We had a lovely meal at Gemelles (our favourite Italian Restaurant!) When we got home we had a quick photo session. Georgina started to yawn in the middle of it!

Little Miss Georgina!

Gina at her best!!

Two New Teeth!

Hello to all and thanks for commenting on our blog! Georgina is now getting her top, front two teeth! She is suffering at night and now eagerly awaits the sweet taste of the medicine! A little bit of sugar makes the medicine go down... the medicine go down..We have had a busy weekend starting off on Friday. We took Nana to the train station early on Friday morning. We loved having her stay! We loved her yummy cooking and all the nice clean clothes (washing...washing...washing..!). THANKYOU Nana! On Friday night Andrew ended up with a fierce stomach ache (ate sonething he shouldn't have) and stayed home from church. Georgina and I headed off to Sabbath School (since I was teaching Beginners) and stayed for church (a great sermon by our pastor about Revelation). On Saturday night we went out to dinner with some of Andrew's workmates and their wives. Georgina behaved herself and smiled and gooed the whole night! We got home about 10.30pm. Georgina crashed with only one or two nightmares about noisy restaurants.

A NEW JOB!

Yes, Andrew has got a new job!

The Electronic Walker!

Nana bought Georgina an electronic walker on Sunday. We found one we liked on sale at ToysRus. Georgina has cottoned on to it quite quickly. She pushes it around, but gets distracted, and crawls off to touch something. She loves the music buttons and shapes in the front section. She was such a keen walker, this evening, Andrew had to hold her still so I could get a clear photo.

A Busy Sunday!

Everyone was up early to see Great Nana off to the airport. Her flight left at 9am so Andrew, Phillip and Nana were out the door at 6.30am. Rather early for a Sunday morning. Georgina and I stayed home and slept in. Mind you, they all got home and promptly went to bed for a couple more hours. They all finally rose at about 10am just as Georgina was going down for her morning nap. Later in the day Antoinette came through on her way back to Uni. Phillip and Lorna went with her to keep her company during the last leg of her trip. Lorna will be back later tonight to doing her babysitting duties for this week.

A Day At Taronga Zoo!

Nana and Great Nana arrived safely on Wednesday evening. Yesterday we had a big day out at Taronga Zoo. We wnt by bus, train, ferrry and then cable car. Great Nana did remarkable well for a 91 year old. We saw lots of animals, but didn't take any photos of the animals. We had a beautiful sunny day and enjoyed the breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour along the way. Georgina refused to sleep with all the excitment and finally nodded off on the way home in the ferrry. A wonderful day was had by all and we all collapsed at the end of the day!

Georgina and I are having a lovely holiday together. We have been going for walks most mornings and meeting some of our neigbours. We have been out to lunch and had friends over for lunch. Georgina got a new little couch the other day. She likes kneeling in front of it and playing with her toys.We are looking forward to Nana and Great Nana coming tomorrow.

Jazz It Up!

The cousins got a new car while we were there! A Honda Jazz! They were off for a quick drive. Can you tell the colour? Purple Passion!

Georgina had just woken from a nap and was still in her grobag.

All Dressed Up!

I am still posting photos from Lismore. This is Sabbath morning just before we took off to church!

Georgina Eats Real Food!

As Georgina's mother I am showing my paranoia about food, well about choking on food to be specific. While visiting her cousins, Georgina ate garlic bread and asparagus with her own wee fingers. My sis reckons she'll either spit it out or swallow it. If she doesn't, just scap it off the roof of her mouth! I must be braver!

Georgina meets Pippin!

While we were visiting the cousins, Georgina met their minature dashound Pippin. Pippin loved Georgina almost as much as Georgina loved Pippin. They spent many an hour side by side. Pippin sniffing behind Georgina's ears and Georgina shaking and squealing with delight as she eyeballed him! Also a picture of Lachlan and Andrew near the computers. Playing games as always!

Georgina Visits her Cousins!

It's been awhile since I blogged. We have been up to visit Georgina's cousins in Lismore for afew days! Georgina was very good on the flight across. She played happily on mum and dad's lap the whole hour! When we got there it was all fun and games! Georgina loved seeing her cousins and especially liked playing with Bella and Gen. On Georgina's second day there, she managed to escape all prying eyes and rolled down Jennies carpeted steps. I caught the last three rolls which she did very gracefully, three full circles until she landed on her back on the bottom of the stairs! She was fine, no broken bones or even bruises! Here are afew picutres during the first few days. More later!
