Georgina's first climb!

Georgina had a lovely time while Nan was cutting out the shark material, to make a cover for her car seat. She also did her first climb onto the car seat and then stood up!

Antoinette Comes to Visit!

Antoinette made a flying visit. Georgina tried her best to steal Antoinette's lunch. Antoinette promised to shared it when Georgina go abit bigger.

Navel's from Dolly's Tree!

My kitchen bench has been covered by oranges from Dolly's tree. A few weeks ago we stopped by at her place and she picked us three bucket loads. Dolly just phoned me this morning to say the rest of her navel's were ruined by all the rain that came through. What a shame!

Exam Day!

We were all up early today. I took Nana to Campbelltown train station at 7 o'clock this morning. Andrew and Georgina stayed home snuggled in bed together! (Andrew said Georgina climbed all over him!) I helped Andrew with some last minute study after Georgina went down for a nap. And then Andrew went off to his exam at about 12.30pm. Georgina and I went vege shopping. Andrew arrived home around sunset and Nana phoned not long after to say she had a pleasant trip on the train and the bus. This is a photo I took of Georgina today, trying to get to Furgus! Better go. Georgina's New Outfits!

I worked an extra day today and Nana looked after Georgina. It was a cold rainy day here with a bitter wind. It must be snowing somewhere! I had a fun day going from class to class. I was doing executive release. While I was with a year 4 class a huge magpie flew into the classroom and then couldn't find his way out. The students screaming didn't help. The more they screamed the more agitated the bird got and he began flying around the room and pooing everywhere! He finally flew out and then we had to clean up and all the year 4 boys had to have a close look at the bird poo (as if they'd never seen it before!) Yesterday Nana, Georgina and I went shopping in Liverpool Westfields. Nana bought Georgina some new Sabbath outfits of which she has been bundled into to tonight to see how they look. Better go and test Andrew for his exam!

A New Doctor in the Family!

CONGRATULATIONS BRO! Now DR. CHRISTOPHER L. AKROYD

Several weeks ago we heard via the grape vine that Chris (my brother) had his thesis passed by his two examiners. This means he will graduate with his PHD this September. We are all very proud of him! Earlier this year we went to New Zealand to visit all our relatives. We stayed with Chris and Rie and got some happy snaps along the way, hence the photo of Chris and Rie with Georgina.

Georgina's Favourite Neighbour!

Georgina loves to visit Sarah and Colleen, they live 3 houses up from us. (That's Sarah holding Georgina in the photo!) Georgina loves Jaime's South African dancing and is especially taken with Jared's dark hair. A visit to the Abrahamse's house means new toys and a fun and games with Sarah! Better go! Hooroo!

Queen's Birthday Monday!

It was a quiet Queen's birthday Monday. Georgina woke up early and enjoyed playing in the sun, hence the photos. Andrew has noted a milestone, Georgina's hair now touches her ears. Georgina's cold is improving and her nose is running slightly less. Nana has arrived tonight for babysitting duties tomorrow. Georgina kindly shared her cold with Nana, who is also sporting a runny nose. Andrew has been busy studying today. He has an exam this Friday. Better go!

A Sunny Sunday (well mostly...)

It's been a quiet Sunday with Andrew studying for exams. Georgina's nose is still running like a tap. She now hates her nosed being wiped, like most children. Georgina slept from 11.15am til 12.45pm this morning. She has just gone down for her second nap now. That's why I am free to blog. Georgina and I just went out to the shops for a quick trip. She got dressed up in her warm jacket. Her favourite thing about it was sucking on the zip!
Better go! Hooroo!

A Rainy Day!

Nana left to go to Newcastle today. She is going to visit a girlfriend in Hornsby that she hasn't seen for about 35 years. As we drove her to the train station the rain fell in torrents. Lorna was hopping to make it to Hornsby without looking like a drowned rat! Just before Lorna left she took a few pictures of Georgina and I. As you can see by the photo's it looks very dark outside and it was only 9 o'clock in the morning. Georgina has had an hours nap and has just woken up feeling all sparky! Her cold is slowly on the mend. Better go. Avouir ( How do yo spell goodbye in French, Taflin?)

Little Indianna Rose!

Michelle and I visited Leah and Little Indianna Rose in hospital today. She was lovely! She slept the whole time and we didn't get a cuddle, maybe next time! Georgina is still sick, but she is slowly improving. She has another tooth coming through. This time, on her top gum. Andrew felt the top tooth coming through tonight. I hadn't felt that one yet. Georgina has gone to bed with panadol but still seems to be suffering from sore gums. I have just perfected making shortbread biscuits. Afew nights ago I made pecan and cinnamon shortbreads. Tonight I made lemon and craisan (dried cranberries) shortbreads and cinnamon and white chocolate shortbreads. Andrew will need to take most of them to work so I don't eat them all!

Qantas Photo's!

These are some photos Andrew posted me. He had to take a contractor around for a photo shoot on Qantas grounds, and they took a few photo's for him. I thought they were pretty good. Nana looked after Georgina again today, but she had her work cut out for her with Georgina sporting a nasty cold. She was a happy girl most of the time, despite her miserable state. She is happily snoring now with her blocked nose. Hopefully she is through the worst of it.
