The gums have it................but the teeth are on their way!

Last night I made the amazing discovery, Goergina's first tooth was coming through. I have not seen it yet, just felt it. Tonight, I think I felt a second tooth. So much for long blogs.

Speedy Gonzales... I mean Speedy Georgina!

Greetings to all those who are interested in the details of our exciting life! Georgina has now become very speedy on her knees. She managed to chew on a gum leaf while Andrew was looking after her on Friday. She also managed to pull the cord out of her intercom ( she foiled herself, now we can't hear her cry). Yes well, we plugged it back in. This morning, while we waited for Andrew to wake up, Georgina showed Mort her knew speedy knees. Mort was sitting quietly by the back door, thinking he was going to get a sleep (inside), it was coooold outside, when Georgina got on her speedy knees and made a bee line towards him. Mort's eyes just about popped out of his head! The last time he looked, that little baby was harmless and couldn't move! I caught it all on camera, with Georgina making tracks towards Mort. Mort finally disappearing behind the lounge chairs to a safer location. A good day was had by all!

Georgina's new trick!

Georgina latest trick is not only standing by holding onto her music box, but also letting go with one hand and turning around. On most occassions, Georgina spends most of her time looking out the window at the birds and the sky etc, but this time I decided to leave her music box on the carpet facing the door. To my great amusement (and Georgina's) Furgus was waiting at the door, wanting to come in. Georgina thought this was most entertaining. and I managed to snap some good photos.

A new car seat!

Georgina spent the day with my neighbour, and had a really lovely day. I think she especially liked going to school with Sarah and seeing all the other children. Because of this we had to buy Georgina a new car seat. We got one on sale. It will now be our spare car seat in case we travel somewhere or if Nan and Pop need it for their car sometime in the future. Georgina was curious about the box, the car seat came in, but I think Furgus liked it better! This can't be a long blog because I'm meant to be doing housework while Georgina is sleeping!

Fun and Games!

Well, Mothers Day has come and gone. Mum, Andrew and I had a beautiful meal at Gemelle's in Liverpool. Goergina was on her best behaviour at the restaurant. Andrew was complaining that he was only a father for about three hours of Father's day, because Georgina wasn't born til 9o'clock.I had a busy end to the week. I was called in to work on Friday. So Andrew was home with Georgina for the day. On Friday morning we were getting a lot of phone calls and Andrew left the phone on one of Georgina's pillows. When he turned around she was dialing a number, I should say pushing some buttons. I taught her how to do that the other day. Andrew rushed over to Georgina and said oh no she's phoned someone. Don't worry, I said she was just phoning Nan to try and get her to come over. Where's Nan?!!! Andrew got to stay home on a lovely rainy day. Just the kind of day you don't want to leave the house! Georgina is up to all kinds of things now. She pulls herself up on anything she can find. And her crawling has gone from dragging with both arms to proper crawling (most of the time). Andrew had a few funny incidents on Friday with Georgina swallowing half a reem of paper (not quite!). She also had a falling incident where she knocked her head on the corner of the sideboard. She has a small bruise to prove it. Georgina caught Furgus today. Grabbed a handful of fur, but Furgus made a quick escape. Better go and fix some dinner.

Mother's Day!

This is for my mother on Mother's Day. Not that she thought I did any terrible things... At least I don't think so..

A True Grandmother

A mother becomes a true grandmother the day she stops noticing the terrible things her children do because she is so enchanted with the wonderful things her grandchildren do.

Sabbath at Parramatta!

It was a quiet start to the day with everyone sleeping in (including Georgina)! I didn't have to teach at beginners Sabbath School so we just arrived for Church. Georgina had lots of cuddles from Fida and Magdelina. It was children's church today. They did a great job, with songs and skits. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see it all because Georgina needed a feed and a sleep. We stayed for the Mother's day lunch and I caught up with afew other other Mother's and babies. Georgina has started poking her tongue out all the time. She has a funny little point on the end of her tongue. I didn't know who's tongue she'd inherited, Andrew thinks it looks like mine.
Hooroo for now,

Wonderful Wednesday!

Wednesday is always wonderful because I don't have to go to work! This morning Georgina and I dropped Grandad off at Campbeltown station to go home to Victoria. Mind you, we almost didn't make it, because I slept in and only woke up at 7 o'clock. Georgina was still asleep as well! Never the less, we were still out the door by 7.05am and made it to Campbelltown Station in plenty of time! On the way home we hit about 45min of traffic, because of an accident on the freeway. Georgina was not very impressed about having to wait for her breakfast until 8 o'clock! All is well now, with Georgina sleeping and me catching up on some schoolwork.

Casula Central!
May 6, 2007

Our place could be likened to a railway station with all the people coming and going. We've had Grandad coming and going. Nan coming for her two days of baby sitting. And Nana and Poppi coming just to stay and enjoy the quiet ( I hope they got some!) We have enjoyed having them all and Georgina has happily smiled a winning smile to every Grandparent. The other exciting thing to happen last week was Georgina's crawling. Although she is not exactly lightning Larry just yet, it is quite amazing to see her slowly take more control of her arms and legs. She crawled over to Poppi and asked to get up, so I returned to find Georgina and Poppi having a chat. Monday is almost here so I better head off and get ready for another busy week. Cheerio!
